Words cannot express my anger and disappointment.

Why has this anti-vaxx movement been getting so big as of late? Or has the media just felt like reporting on it suddenly so it feels that way?
I don't think it's really bigger, it's just getting more airplay because their actions are starting to have serious consequences. It's like the racist, they've always been that way but now they feel empowered to spread their shit.
Its getting bigger because YouTube, Facebook and the like have been nothing to curb it (though very recently they said they would, but I doubt it)
I'm pretty sure Russian bots on social media are also to blame.
Yeah, this kind of conspiracy type shit spreads like wildfire on social platforms and once they hook into the uninformed its very nature as a conspiracy prevents them from being convinced otherwise. Then they can join in on other "woke" anti-vaxx groups to reinforce their viewpoint and begin to firmly associate it as a part of their identity. Now if you try to convince them they'll flip out like its a personal attack and no amount of reasoning will reach them. Turns out the internet's greatest strength is the propagation of misinformation, not spreading actual knowledge,
The Internet's greatest strength is the propagation of information. We're just stupidly addicted to bad information that confirms our biases.
Well, maybe they'll learn when their loved ones become infected and see the consequences of their actions first hand.
Probably, but I wouldn't be surprised if there would be people dense enough to blame it all on the government rather than themselves, because of how self-absorbed these people tend to be - they only care about their own good image and not their own children's well-being and they rather let their child die than have autism, which would "ruin" that image.
Nah, I follow a couple of things that post stuff from antivaxx facebook groups and the likes and these people are nuts. Even when family members get ill they chalk it up to a vaccine wouldnt have helped anyway or in some cases they actually blame vaccinated kids for transmitting the disease to theirs. Also things like people asking for advice cause their kid has an easily preventable disease and also refusing to get any kind of treatment aside from essential oils and that sort of crap. Honestly its neglect/child abuse through and through what some of these parents put their kids through. The last few generations are lucky to not have to remember a time where someone gets a cough and then days/weeks later drops dead, and it not being very uncommon to have to bury multiple classmates etc throughout school life due to common diseases killing them off.
Wild to see people actively throwing away what were once ground breaking advances in medicine. We could discover the cure for cancer and in a couple decades people will think its a scam.
Remember that "it may be good for the world, but it’s not good for them"
They'd be classified as mentally ill, if only they weren't so paranoid they never see a qualified doctor.
Fuck me, people like that should be arrested/fined, for their recklessness.
the president of the united states of america is an antivaxxer
This is the real national emergency of our time, well that and accelerated climate change and a slew of other issues our leaders and their voters don't believe in.
are you fucking kidding me? I'm sorry, but at this point, if nobody kicks his ass out of office, like, literaly no one, they should go to trial and be arrested, because at this point, people are enabling the idiocy to reach dangerous levels that actively kill people. how did it get this bad
