• Rust, Ping spikes after update, not hardware/internet

I have been having ping spikes in rust lately, specifically after the update. These ping spikes get worse the more you play on a server, eventually rising up to a steady flow of 23,000 ping. I tried reinstalling the game, using ethernet and wifi, and giving the game priority in task manager. However, for the latter, I have been experiencing issues. Even after running task manager in administrator, I still could not give the game any priority than normal, recieving the message an error has occurred. If anyone knows a fix for this problem, please tell me.
They broke the came. Whatever they did, it's increased the resources required server side. I asked my host what is the reason for my host memory jumping from 4-5gb to 8-9gb. CPU usage average from 20-30% to 70-80%. They said, this started from the last update of rust. Also, since the client update. My ram usage has jumped from 3-4GB to 10GB+ & it steadily creeps higher & higher. Now, I run a Ryzen 1600+ 2x16GB DDR4, so my system can take it by a mile. But this game just devastates my system for unknown reason's & its destroying the server resources. And this all started from this months big update & it just amplified since todays mini patch.
Even after running task manager in administrator, I still could not give the game any priority than normal, recieving the message an error has occurred. That's because of EAC. They disabled this function but I'm not sure for what reason.
