'Cause he just wasn't getting enough golf in without it...
Why go out golfing and waste perfectly good taxpayer money when you can bring the golfing inside to waste taxpayer money!
In hindsight, this will hopefully reduce his expenses overall but the damage is already done.
It's not the money, it's the fact he's trying to avoid working, even when in the WH. Obama got endless shit for golfing yet Trump's on track to smash his golf times yet not a word from GOP.
"I'm only on vacation 360 days a year, let's see if we can make that 365."
On track? IIRC he already has golfed more in the two years than Obama did in his first 4.
The fact he should have more important shit to do than install room-sized golf simulators at his workplace, especially when it's known that he barely wants to work to begin with.
Ordinarily it would be a problem that the POTUS spends all his time golfing and fucking around to the detriment of running the country, but since Trump's idea of running the country equates to waging an all-out assault on our democratic institutions, anything that distracts him from working is fine by me.
If only the stooges and turtles he appoints were so easily distracted by golf as well
trump spends upwards of 8 hours a workday on 'executive time' which is not a euphemism
Obama actually installed it, Trump just updated it
One offers the chance to play nine holes among “temples, volcanoes and dinosaur skeletons” in a South American jungle.
Players then hit a real ball into the screen, and sensors track the speed, spin and path of the ball. Then, the computer takes over. It transforms that real shot into a virtual one, and shows the ball soaring over fairways (or dinosaur skeletons) toward the hole.
When the digital ball rolls to a stop, the player resets with a real ball and smacks it into the screen again.
I can't believe something like this exists. It sounds awkward and clumsy like a fucking Cinco product. And for $50,000? There's a market for this sort of junk?
When you're too lazy to leave the comfort of your own home to even pretend to exercise
That looks like an absolutely frustrating piece of shit. I like how they are impressed by those early 2000s graphics.
Whats funny is that they could've just used a net and a few meters of clearance behind it and it would've worked far better.
Trumps thoughts upon being shown the golf simulator room his first day in office:
"Thanks Obama..."
The White House also has a bowling alley, basket ball court, and tennis court iirc. It used to have a pool but that was covered up by the press room. Not even surprised it's got a golf simulator in there. If I was president I'd probably try to get a pool put back in.
I'd try to get the pool put back in the press room. It's called a fucking press pool for a reason.
Obama confirmed to be the first gamer president.
Plus, the White House has a movie theater too, amongst other things. There are plenty of reasons to hate Trump (and them some), but I really don't think a Golf simulation is one of them (unless he's using it to avoid work - which, scratch that, is probably a good thing )
Still use it for press briefings but replace the seats with various floaties and everyone must wear their bathing suits. Towels will be provided. No running near the pool.
and a swim-up bar for sure
Nah, I'd go more for the Dr. Evil approach where I can hit a button and the floor opens up into a pool while my chair slinks away and everyone else gets dunked.
To be fair, Trump does look like a Everybody's Golf character

That's fine. He should stay in there and play "golf" for the next 2 years or so.
the first gamer president
That thing looks like it costs $500, tops.
Don't they have golf on the Vive and Rift? Someone should show the president that
