GMod's ACF/GCombat servers have always been a rather niche group in Garry's Mod, but goddamn do I love seeing the designs everyone makes. Hopefully someday Garry's Mod will either get a sequel, or it's own branch of the Source engine, and we'll have a more streamlined system for parenting and the like.
I remember playing ACF on GGG's servers and making tanks/mechs with those public E2s. I wonder if they're still around.
I'm looking forward to seeing where S&ndbox goes to, hoping it will become the gmod for a new generation.
but I worry, what with the dev blogs drying up (last one was june 2018) and Garry's unstable treatment of the forum and prototypes.

ACF always ooked interesting to me but I never got much into it - I guess it'd be a quick way to simulate combined arms PVP :v
Whenever I see builders hard at work on DarkRP servers to make actual RP buildings, I honestly do tear up a bit.
GMod is one of those games that I can always return too and play religiously. All of the friends I have made through it, and friends still counting, just makes it worth it.

SGC Naval Play is also a fun combat server if any of you guys are looking for a less-serious combat experience compared to ACF!
