TL;DR because I hate the clickbait title that doesn't tell you anything and the reasoning is actually pretty simple: A Polish diplomat had been using his status to obstruct and interject in Norwegian Child Protective Services cases dealing with Polish migrant families. Norway did not like this and asked Warsaw to recall and replace the diplomat, but they refused, so Norway expelled him. Poland called his expulsion unfair and is retaliating by expelling a Norwegian diplomat. That is all at this point in time.
Newspapers must hate guys like you
Tbh the entire behavior of their CPS is pants-on-head retarded anyways
How so?
Infamous for taking away kids for basically no reason at all (especially from east-european immigrants) for example: dad scolds child because it did something real dumb, wee woo all kids taken away
if by scold you mean physical abuse yeah, wee woo all kids taken away. CPS don't take kids away from parents for giving them a stern talking to.
Yeeah that sounds like an exaggeration. Any examples?
Nope don't even think about defending CPS here Norgies https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-sh/norways_hidden_scandal
One journalist has calculated, however, that children with a foreign mother are four times more likely than other children in Norway to be forcibly taken from their families. Big yikes if true!
It's no surprise that such a big system makes the occasional mistake, or is involved in some shitty scandal. It's a large nationwide system after all. The more people you involve, the bigger the chances of something going wrong, or someone involved being a shitty person (i.e. the child porn guy in that article) Which is, of course, inexcusable - but it doesn't invalidate or remove the need for the CPS. I've been very involved with the CPS. In fact, I owe my functional life to their efforts. I spent 5 years of my childhood in an institution, starting from the age of 8. They went to extraordinary lengths to diagnose me, plan out a way of correcting my mental problems, and spent a total of 6 years pulling through with it. Actually, if you have any questions about how any of it worked, feel free to ask. I'm obviously biased, because my experience has been in a completely different light. Consider that sensationalistic articles aren't necessarily a good indicator of how something like this functions in the real world. It's as if the writer arrived to a conclusion before writing the article. As if these events represent the system as a whole.
I remember watching the YouTube video of it happening, the comments were filled with either calling Norway a Marxist state OR a fascist state. They just couldn't decide.
Could be a Fascist state, could be a Marxist state; all we know is they live in a state of some sort. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1717/be864723-9a0a-4b71-ba32-68a9d2fb3a77/PROD-Adolf-Hitler-whrend-einer-Rede.jpg We live in a State... Volk rise up
Recently there have been very public cases of children being taken away and their families dragging through the courts for months. I'd say more but I don't recall the details. Anyway it turns out child protection started following the Norwegian model and the current head of those services iirc received training of it. Soon after that happens follows scandals and public outrage, which really gets nogging jogging.
