Nothing went forward, they hadn't even finalized the location yet. This is basically the citizens telling them to fuck off.
A community deciding selling for itself that dubious and unverified profits isn't worth it at the expense of overwhelming already struggling infrastructure and further gentrifying the area. Good for them.
