Eminent domain is one of the single biggest boogeymen for conservatives. He's still going to have his rabid core cult, but every day he burns more goodwill with the outliers. I would be very very surprised if any south Texas ranchers still backed him as of yesterday and I'll be very very very surprised if any still back him today.
