Hello,I would like to get some help if possible with my performance problems.I'm running the game on 60-90 fps,depends on location etc.But the game doesn't feel smooth.(It like stutters all the time or something).Currently I'm running the game on nearly best settings (settings that NVIDIA has choosen me as optimized).I even tried to play on really low settings with the worst resolution,but by decreasing all the details it seems like it does nothing to fps.(maybe like 10 fps up,but the game still stutters).I really don't know what to do.I've tried to switch refresh rate of my monitor from 75Hz to 60Hz,still nothing.I have fps limit 0 and all of those V-syncs should be turned off.I got that -window-mode exclusive command in launch options.Any other game I am playing like Witcher 3,Overwatch,Rainbow-Six Siege runs with no problems.Is it because of Rusts poor optimization or am I doing something wrong?
My PC:
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.40GHz
GeForce GTX 1070ti
16 GB RAM
Monitor: Acer VG240Y - 75Hz

I had the same problem. I fixed it by turning nvidia replay off. I don't know if this will work for you but give it a shot.
I have similar problem. Game runs pretty smooth nowadays but if I get into the gun fight and when enemy starts spraying towards me and me towards him I get like freeze or lag spike usually I die in this situation and then I'm wounded or dead. I have followed Panjno tutorials and a lot more basically everything I've tried. Turning game quality to the lowest doesn't work either.
I7-5820k 3.3ghz (clocked to 4.0) no performance change for rust.
Msi Gtx 980. (clocked +150mhz and 500 memory clock) Maybe 1 fps boost to the game.
8gb ram 2400mhz.
Some say it's the ram problem but again my friends play with me with 8 gbs and don't have such problem.
Also I have brand new windows installed 1 week ago made game better but still didin't fix the lag spike while going into gunfight.
It doesn't occur every time but it's very often and makes game so bad for me to play.
Check to see if anyone else is having the same issue at the same time, some servers seem to experience lag spikes whenever the server saves every 5-15 minutes
