This is exactly the argument I made. In politics, affirmative action is actually beneficial for the quality of candidates.
You know, if research backs up the claim I'm willing to believe it. I feel like we just need to be careful to extrapolate the results to other fields and domains unless the consensus from meta-analysis' says the data can be interpreted broadly as well.
