Would it be cool to have clones of yourself perform a task?

I wish I could clone myself 19 times and have a whole bunch of me's form a game studio to make whatever I want.

Now that I got that out of my system, yea it'd be pretty cool having even just two or three of me. I guess it would suck that it would cost more to live cause there'd be three times as much I'd eat/use amenities.
finally i will be able to finish my hobby projects on a scale of months instead of at this point years
I could give myself a blowjob.
Tbh only if it works as a temporal clone or like Madrox

I feel like it would also be ok if we could merge memories every so often, even if they each had their own free will / were always around.
I agree that if it's just a clone at time x I'd soon be like having a twin sibling but even worse.
imagine how cool if you went to multiple classes at once and learned 6 different subjects, possibly even related subjects
you could learn same subject from 5 teachers at the exact same time
I would send a clone to go shopping for me while I work or something. I have so much shit I need to buy but I never have the time...
if you're so lazy you'd send a clone to do whatever task you don't wanna do, what makes you think your clones will want to do it either?
If I cloned myself there would be two depressed idiots sleeping all day instead of just one.
The only way I'd agree to cloning is if you could go full-on Cylon with it, where the two entities are independent of one another in their entirety, but their memories can remotely merge with one another. Their own experiences per clone shaping their personalities to the point where they could be considered different people, just with the same name/designation.
Otherwise, no. There would be no benefit to two low-drive asshats trying to accomplish a collective task.
So
you want to invest millions of dollars as well as potentially hundreds of hours of work to create something that's never been done before in human history
just avoid the 5 minutes it takes to get up and make a sandwich yourself?
like okay
it depends if the clones share knowledge
having a bunch of clones to take different classes wouldn't mean much otherwise.
Also having a bunch of me doing programming would be problematic, as different me's wouldn't all share knowledge of my own API
Don't have 19 clones to do shit you don't want to do, have 19 clones to do shit you do want to do but don't have the manpower for. I can't make a 1000 foot long mural of a twelve clowns blowing each other in the mojave desert visible from an airplane, but we can.
bro how would you feel if you woke up into existence and found out some dickhead made you to do his chores?
id probably team up with the rest of my clones and kill myselves
Well, at the moment of duplication that dickhead would be you. You surely wouldn't kill yourself over having chores to do.
Shared consciousness clones would be the best kind. Then you could remain an individual, only at multiple places at once.

this would basically be me and my clones, talking to an imaginary creature too
The clones of myself would be just like myself. They would:
Be freaked out knowing they are clones
Be just as demotivated as me
Not obey commands of their maker
This seems like a bad idea.
I've thought about the concept of having a (permanent) clone many times and pretty much every time I came to the conclusion that one of us would quickly end up dead.
I can't even really explain it either. I don't think I could trust a clone of myself. It just feels like a threat on an existential level, more terrifying that having a knife at your neck.
I wouldn't get along with myself, I mean shit dude I get on my own nerves sometimes.
Really? Maybe I'm naive about it, but I feel I could trust a clone of myself (assuming we can sync memories so we don't become different people) implicitly. e.g. I'd have no problems splitting work and fun time so the net period of free / fun time is increased since we could share just about everything without issue.
One problem I could see is inter-personal relationships being stretched. Given the assumption that we are all the same person, I don't see it being a problem for myself - but others are for sure to be freaked out.
I'd do it if it were like Naruto clones, where they each share your will and, when the cloning is over with, you retain all the skills and memories gained from each individual clone
Imagine how quickly you could learn things, or clean a house, work on projects you've been messing with on and off, make money at multiple jobs, etc
Hell yeah, many hands making light work is a huge motivational tool for me.
The whole having clones to do your work thing only works if you share experiences. That way you can get your work done and piss around and play games all day and neither of you is getting fucked over. If not you'll just have to fight your clone, and that's not a fight you want to have.
I know exactly what we'd do.

I'm not lazy, they're just really big projects and more of me would get it done faster.
There's a character in My Hero Academia that can clone himself and he ended up doing this and eventually one of the clones started insisting he was the original and they all end up killing each other and the only survivor isn't even sure if he's the original either.
So no I wouldn't do it for fear of mutiny
Fuck no, my clone(s) would also share my partner, my money and my possessions etc.
