Washington (CNN) A federal judge has placed a gag order on longtime Donald Trump associate Roger Stone and attorneys involved in his criminal case.
"Counsel for the parties and the witnesses must refrain from making statements to the media or in public settings that pose a substantial likelihood of material prejudice to this case,"
Judge Amy Berman Jackson wrote.
They are also not allowed to speak in and around the courthouse.
Nice, another one of Trump's cronies under gag order, that has to be a juicy case, hopefully this will all lead to Trump's downfall.
It's less that it's a juicy case (though I'm sure it is) and more that Roger Stone was released on bail and immediately went on a publicity tour, getting interviews on news shows and shit talking about how he's innocent.
This poisons the jury pool. He claimed he should not be under a gag order because his career is writing and public whoring speaking but the judge wasn't having it.

Stone will only be gagged near the courthouse, shame.

No, it's that the gag order includes near and at the courthouse.
Jackson also placed a gag order on Stone and attorneys involved in his criminal case, though Stone's ability to speak publicly isn't completely restricted.
Lawyers "for the parties and the witnesses must refrain from making statements to the media or in public settings that pose a substantial likelihood of material prejudice to this case," Jackson wrote.
They, their clients and even Stone are also not allowed to speak in and around the courthouse.

I was going to make a comment about how great its going to be to see the people who still defend Assange eat crow, but then I remembered that those people probably support collusion with Russia via Wikileaks anyway so v v
If we don't get to impeach Trump, I think a nice consolation prize would be to get Assange to spend a lifetime in a dark hole somewhere.
