Chinese students outraged after Tibetan woman elected student president - Polidicks

AIPEI (Taiwan News) — A Tibetan student elected president of a Canadian university’s student union has been hit with backlash from Chinese peers. Chemi Lhamo, who studies at the University of Toronto’s Scarborough Campus, posted the following message on her Instagram page Sunday following news of her victory: “Thank you to everyone for all the support and love. I’m honoured to share that I will be serving as the President of the University of Toronto Scarborough Student’s Union starting May 1st once ratified. Driven by my own values of wisdom and compassion, I’m looking forward to this new step.” In the three days since the message was published, all of Lhamo’s Instagram posts have been flooded with inflammatory comments declaring support for China's occupation of Tibet, and denouncing her as a “religious whore” and “opportunistic traitor” among countless other insults. https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/en/news/3637320 Talk about pathetic.

The indoctrination is strong and begins with fundamentally leaving the population ill-prepared for propaganda and misleading information. I've a Chinese friend and during/after the 2016 election the conspiracy meme portion of the election filtered into the Chinese internet and I had to convince him that Hillary was not literally a demon with a hole in her tongue and the YouTube videos from MAGA accounts with TTS narration and photoshops were not comparable to actual journalism, and that pizzagate was absolutely not a thing. He's disenchanted with the party, and for good reason, but all he's done is reject the infection without doing anything to prevent himself from being infected by some other deceptive controlling ideology. Like racial supremacy. One time he asked me if it was true that fucking Jew girls increased your IQ. I almost regret telling him no.

Yeah but worse because he's supporting their occupation, so it's more like "I have a black friend so slavery is fine."

Maybe they ought to go back if they cannot participate in Canadian values. Some of these tweets against here warrant a university investigation and potential suspension of students in my opinion.

Y'know, I really pity - and admittedly have some contempt for - mainland Chinese people. They treat everything - even each other's lives - as completely disposable, but at the same time it's been due to a lifetime of indoctrination. They don't value anything.
