Alright, so I know you will say to reinstall Gmod, or delete addons or something of that nature. I've removed all addons, reinstalled Gmod, restarted my computer, moved the game to a different hard drive, I've even tried deleted different file directories inside the Gmod folders looking for something related. My internet isn't the issue. I had this issue a few weeks ago and I couldn't figure it out, then it worked for a few days; but now its back to not working. So I just sit there stuck on sending client info all day. It is NOT Stuck or not responding.

Did you try the dev branch?
It just says the server is out of date when I try the dev branch.

You will need to wait for some time since GMod recently changed the hash algorithm responsible for the lua file caching so it will download everything from the server. Just leave it running and grab a coffee meanwhile.
Hello, I was having this issue a few days ago. The way i fixed it was by factory resting my gmod.
Localdisk ↣ Program Files (x86) ↣ Steam ↣ Steam apps ↣ Common ↣ Garrys Mod
Then select factory reset
Nah, this issue isn't related to that. I randomly had it happen to me and I couldn't join any servers (even single player iirc) the game wouldn't be frozen like it typically would be at that point, I was able to move the Garry's Mod window around my screen and open the console. The game just wasn't doing anything as far as I could tell.
I believe I ended up factory resetting my Garry's Mod and the issue went away eventually.
I'm not sure if it was the new update Gmod had, or if factory resetting did it. But my game works now.
