Entry for anyone not in possession of an early bird pass was massively delayed—organisers blamed staff shortages—but once inside things didn’t improve. Attendees reported that the PC section cost money to play, despite Fortnite being a free-to-play title that kids could have been playing for nothing at home.  The event, despite using Fortnite’s name, logo and official art to promote itself, was in no way licensed or approved by Epic Games. Mmmmm, I can smell a lawsuit commin.
Netflix makes people do the weirdest shit.
Still sounds better than Leeds Festival, to be honest.
A tarpaulin lobbed over a van with a plastic slide sticking out the back [was] billed as a ‘Cave Experience’. Was that actually part of the festival or just an opportunistic kidnapper?

I wonder if they gave anyone an extra hour in the ball pit
we all had fun at leeds when we were 16 didnt we?
At least it's not as bad as Pokemon Go's.
Oh so that was the original version I think I like this one more
Keeping it Normal for Norfolk. God my city gets in the news for the weirdest shit sometimes.
I'm having flashbacks to Meeting of The Mines, a shady unofficial Minecraft convention where they gave out free pens to kids.
Thought this was about the Marshmello concert for a sec. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBsCzN-jfvA
what does it say about me as a person that i mentally filled in the rest of the comic with the "other" version before reading the rest of it
>Attendees reported that the PC section cost money to play, despite Fortnite being a free-to-play title feels like they harped on this like providing a fleet of computers to play on would somehow be subsidized by the fact the game doesn't cost anything to own an account. Gaming cafes are still very prevalent and currently thrive on kids showing up to pay 10 bucks an hour to play fortnite (and other more demanding games they may not 'own') side by side with a few friends on high end computers
Epic's suing the company for putting on the festival https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2019/02/19/epic-suing-over-fortnite-themed-festival-in-norwich/
