Just another idea: A sensor for the tool cupboard which either can be configured to triggered at a certain threshold of hours of upkeep ( or minutes or seconds ) or that starts to trigger at the beginning of decay.
Bro just make one thread if you have multiple ideas.
So multiple people can talk over each other on multiple ideas? Thank you but no thank you
Why would this be useful ?
For bigger groups of players. Furnace buildings, Priv Boxes, etc. . Slap a sensor on the TC, put a siren light on top. If some people forget to keep upkeep in check ( happens more often than you might think ), the Siren Light or a speaker turns on and everyone knows. Or hook it up to the RF system if you have outposts for farming or a boat base.
Firstly i thought "what sense of it, just walk around your base it will show up upkeep time". But then i recall my distinct on-shore shop which about ~15 minutes from pure running from my home. So it would be nice to have sensor which "capture" number of hours, and as it's output - give energy output which equivalent to that number. Then, depending of amount of energy it'd begin to broadcast to my home receiver for example(since pager is bugged and not working right now).
not a bad idea, would be nice to hook it up to pager too for the odd pvp'r
Alright, two problems with this idea. 1. There's already an "Upkeep sensor" in the bottom right when you are within radius of tc (ik ik it doesnt make noise) but that takes me to 2. People outside can tell when the tc is almost out, giving them an advantage to know if your base will start decaying or something like that.
Wut?)) How would the know that?
because if there are sirens going on lights / noise,(as op stated) it would be visible from the outside.
It would be stupid decision from homeowner to place such thing for warning. Just make broadcaster "broadcast" when building is about to decay, and only correct player with pager(or receiver on other base) will know about that building situation. Noone from others would know anything from upkeep sensor.
you could also just set a timer for the decay rate. every time you fill the crate, increase the timer(s)
Yeah but the manual resetting of the timer is more of a chore than really fun gameplay in my opinion. I mean what is a chore can can be automated should be automated.
