Wurm Online: Facepunch epic invasion 2019 - "A moment of inspiration" - Games

Wurm is a sandbox mmo chalk full of grind and life wasting gameplay! I like to describe it as a mix between minecraft and runescape. The game was initially released in 2003 I believe, with daddy Notch being one of the co-developers. More information can be found on their website found below. What is there to do? A lot. There are many community events, such as rifts that spawn hostile mobs, uniques needing players to band together to kill them (including dragons!), animal taming and breeding, village building, gear creation, player versus player, and much more. How do I join? Simply go to The Sandbox MMO and download the java client there for free! A note however, skills are capped at 20 in wurm online, unless you pay for membership. Playing for free is possible, but you will be severely limited, think of it as a free demo before you pay for a recurring membership. Once you complete the tutorial, you will be prompted to go to a portal and choose a server. For this invasion, I had in mind of populating the EPIC servers, aka, the PVP servers. Three Kingdoms fight for power, each having their own map (server) including an extra server in the middle where everyone dukes it out. The PVP servers also have a 3x skillgain reducing the grind needed to get into the fray. I currently reside in Serenity if anyone needs help getting set up, however, feel free to populate Affliction or Desertion with fellow friends/facepunchers! Not interested in PVP? Feel free to join the freedom isles, I think some facepunchers might still have accounts who can help you get started out, or even the wurmians there could lend you a hand. I remember the first FP towns from around 2007, one of which was named Twin Valleys. I think VI2US went there too. Good times.

Yeah, I was hoping to repopulate epic a bit. I wasent around for the good ol shit shack minge days. pvp tends to scare people off but its kingdom vs kingdom, so youre not thrown into the fray right away.

So soon after the last one? Especially on WO that you have to pay for monthly and is much slower in general? On epic that is so bad and universally hated nowadays that the devs have connected it to freedom? Lol, nah.

Mind elaborating on why it's universally hated? Generally curious. From what I heard most people migrated to freedom solely for the bigger player base. If Epic is universally hated, wouldn't chaos be too or is that also the case?

I don't know why you'd stick to WO instead of Unlimited.
