https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/20/politics/special-counsel-conclusion-announcement/index.html Washington (CNN) Attorney General Bill Barr is preparing to announce as early as next week the completion of Robert Mueller's Russia investigation, with plans for Barr to submit to Congress soon after a summary of Mueller's confidential report, according to people familiar with the plans. The preparations are the clearest indication yet that Mueller is nearly done with his almost two-year investigation. The precise timing of the announcement is subject to change. The scope and contours of what Barr will send to Congress remain unclear. Also unclear is how long it will take Justice officials to prepare what will be submitted to lawmakers. Under the special counsel regulations, Mueller must submit a "confidential" report to the attorney general at the conclusion of his work, but the rules don't require it to be shared with Congress, or by extension, the public. And, as Barr has made clear, the Justice Department generally guards against publicizing "derogatory" information about uncharged individuals. The fix is in
Haha no stop my sides
From the wiki: "Barr has been publicly critical of the Mueller investigation. In 2017, he faulted Mueller for hiring prosecutors who have contributed to Democratic politicians, saying his team should have had more "balance,” and characterized the obstruction of justice investigation as “asinine” and that it was “taking on the look of an entirely political operation to overthrow the president.”" Feels good, I wonder how Bill is gonna "summarize" the report to Congress lmao
This is such a weird situation. Barr and Mueller are personal friends, golf and attend church together. I want to doubt Barr is going to let his lifetime of service at the DOJ result in the DOJ falling into a state of dis-repair forever more, leaving his legacy as nothing more than a hatchet man, and destroying one of his best friends very serious investigations in the process. I don't know what he'll do, but a lot of this just seems too strange to really have any idea where this is going.
I don't feel that the Senate can be trusted with the report. Not the dominant half, at least.
People have been saying the Mueller investigation is close to finishing for actual years now and it's never a credible claim and it's always with the intention of eroding the support of the investigation and muddying the waters surrounding it, so pardon me if I'm just a little suspy of anyone saying it's gonna be over soon I'll believe it when Mueller himself says it. The man has run an absurdly tight ship and we haven't heard a peep from anyone actually involved with the investigation
Who else should recieve it, the UN?
The House, controlled by Democrats. Any elected representative in either house of Congress can read anything they want into the public record with absolute constitutional immunity from prosecution. Send a pre-redacted and an unredacted copy to Pelosi's office with instructions to read the redacted version out loud (with the unredacted version delivering a classified version) on the floor, problem solved unless the Repubs attempt an outright seizure of control of Congress -- and they'll have to get through the Sgt-at-arms and Congress security first.
"The investigation is finishing soon." Says increasingly nervous republican for the seventh time this year.
Let's not forget that Barr is a Trump crony - or at least the man was appointed with the purpose of covering for Trump.
CNN really needs to stop this practice of asking Trump loyalists when Mueller will finish his investigation and then airing their responses as if it's actually credible news
Washington Post is rolling with the story as well so that gives it more weight.
WP is quoting the same anonymous White House staffers that have been pushing the idea of an imminent Mueller report for like a year now. Everything about the case suggests Mueller has at least 6 months left to go. I'd be very surprised if we see a release anytime soon. More likely the deadline will just pass us by, just like it did last time, and the time before that, and the time before that. Mueller is on Valve Time :3

Ah, but what if they won't receive it next week because they've already received it?
