Lawyers on special counsel Robert Mueller’s team have been calling their old bosses in preparation to return to the jobs they had before, a sign that the investigation may truly be at its end.
According to a Wednesday Washington Post report, Mueller’s office is 12 lawyers strong now, down from 17. Eight of them were reassigned from other posts in the Department of Justice.
They would reportedly be able to pitch in with the prosecution of cases launched by Mueller’s investigations from their original posts.
Per the Post, Mueller sees his team’s job as more investigatory than prosecutorial, so will comfortable closing down the formal operation before all the related indictments come down.
Per MBFC:
TPM has liberal bias in story selection and produces some very credible journalism. Talking Points Memo almost always sources to credible information.
Part of me is terrified that Mueller is going to turn around and say "no collusion, rip", whilst a stronger part of me simply thinks everyone will be underwhelmed.
I don't believe it, he got a six month extension on the grand jury recently and still has Stone to flip.
Maybe they've finally just found "the smoking gun" and are tired of the investigation themselves?
Looks like their source is literally just a Washington Post article on the shit we heard yesterday

The probe is really ending this time, says increasingly nervous cultist for seventh time this year
The issue is that there's no obligation to inform the public or even congress of the findings. I fear this will be suppressed by the AG.
If the AG does that, watch Mueller resign and then take the Democrats up on their offer to testify in the House.
Blumenthal is already saying if it even looks like the report given isn't complete or if Barr doesn't attach the whole thing they'll subpoena it. They have a good case for it though certainly the DoJ will fight it if that happens. Endgame is, that report is very likely to find it's way to the public if it is concealed.
