Not looking good for EA right now, even with their fancy Apex Legends.
Imagine if they pulled this shit in the film industry. It would not fly.
Well, they might as well blacklist the majority of popular gaming channels then.
In the review he bring up a shillman reviews comments and in the same video he gets blacklisted for a negative review. amazing
Keep buying those numbered FIFA releases, everywhere outside of the US, I'm sure if you do EA's long history of shitty decisions on the corporate level will certainly catch up with them.
I remember someone was calling Gggman a shill, wish I could see their faces now.
Yikes, this sets a dangerous precedent in the games industry
Don't act like Americans don't do the exact same shit with Madden. Heck, you've got more sales per capita of Madden in the US than FIFA in Europe.
Because his first review of anthem at the tokyo gameshow was him gushing about the game, when beta players have been complaining the same issues presented in the release build before the game show. Thats what sets off alarms to me, how would the tokyo gameshow build be way better than the release build when that was before the launch.
That must have been one negative review, I've seen game changers be negative about BFV and BF2 without being blacklisted.
But the beta was also a slice of the game and had the massive loadtimes and weird UI issues. It wasnt just optimization being an issue.
That's exactly why. We've seen this before. That's why Sonic 2006 looked better at TGS '05 than the shitshow we got. Then again, they literally removed features between that and the final game.
everything in the game show version was probably pre-loaded onto the disc or something
And this is why most early review programs are typically bullshit and anyone part of them should never be fully trusted. Publishers don't want you to put out an honest review in these programs. They want you to be an influencer and say good things about the game in order to get views and promote sales, and in return, maybe the publisher will give your channel or site a boost as well as a bit of cash for being compliant. EA wants people who will scratch their back, not poke it.

They're saying that because it's technically true. Once they kicked him out of the program for giving them a bad review, his old sponsorship disclosure in the video wasnt accurate anymore so he had to take it down and reupload an edited version without the mention of being part of their early review program.
Looks like EA needs to blacklist at least 23 critics more now: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/184903/82c115be-d6d5-44e9-a508-a1f4a18c3ba2/Anotación 2019-02-22 133656.jpg
Saw the video last night and had a feeling EA was just going to blacklist him.
It sucks for GGGman, but I was hoping something like this would happen, painfully average reviews at all. To think EA was actually starting to recover quite well with Apex Legends, too
EA evil as ever lmao

So.. they're telling a man who they have literally blacklisted, that they haven't blacklisted him? EA are fucking mad
Call a Rabbit a "Smeerp"
Has he definitely been kicked out of the partnership? I wonder how they'd twist it without the word "blacklist" being used if asked why they did that.
Aww fuck I saw the video go up but I hadn't watched it yet, are there any reuploads?
He reuploaded it without the disclaimer at the beginning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAFk_I0nxnU
Yeah something isn't adding up here. I don't see that reupload lasting much longer either to be honest, since now his review video isn't disclosing that he was paid to do the review and got a free copy of the game as well. I mean isn't that what WB got into legal trouble back during shadow of mordor? I don't think that EA is going to let that reupload stay up.
EA going on an upward trend to find every possible way to act and appear like a whiny baby bitch until they crash and burn. Not much of a precedent, moreso just a company being completely incompetent.
Much like Call of Duty, Battlefield and Battlefront are both guaranteed to sell copies no matter how many negative reviews are pelted at them. Anthem is a different beast entirely and EA is already demanding it to be a massive hit, otherwise BioWare ends up getting axed.
