Jesus Christ we got so many mediocre AAA titles these last 10 years.

That's true of every decade, we just don't remember them.
Remember when every property tie-in platformer? Cover shooters? MOBAs? It's all the same, it's just looking for the few diamonds in the rough that do something different enough to catch people's eye.
Only because we got a truckload of releases in the last decade, everything from the best of the best to absolute garbage.

Hah... Brink was the first game that showed me how disappointing a game's release could be. Poor naive me thought that it was just a one time thing and that I'd never be burned by buying games again :downs:
As beaten to death as it is now. Battle Royale was a pretty solid change up to the Multiplayer Shooter formula. I don’t like them, but before that I don’t think there had been any successful new game types in the Shooter Genre.
Honestly most shooters are just god damn boring now. Open world games are the most overrated shiit, boring ass gameplay where quantity is more important than quality.
the only thing i will remember Brink by is

tbh battle royale was kind of always a dream I had as a kid, so I don't mind it catching on that much.
6DOF shooters are the future
