When you get brownie points for letting women drive, so you use them to cause genocide. Seriously, all he is is a modernized authoritarian. I'm not sure how to solve the situation over there, but a Muslim Protestant movement would be a good start.
Xi being shot in the dick and thrown off a bus would be another great start
I defend the right to put the Saudi elite back to the shitter where they belong
Lol, I remember when people were defending this guy and I got shat on for saying we should wait and see.
I guess he doesn't want to be a hypocrite.
Birds of a genocidal feather.
FP is often quite capricious on politics - don't take it personally.
lol, we let Saudi Arabia get away with stuff because of economic interests, now Saudi Arabia has to let China get away with stuff for their own economic interests, quite ironic
tbf it was a very specific subsection of FP users endorsing bin Salman's excesses.
FP has always had small groups of extreme opinions like that, most known is probably the Sanius Squad.
It wasn't an extreme opinion to be optimistic about the shake-up of power back then. Considering how awful the situation was to start with, any change could've been good.
I feel like anyone who unironically says that Islam needs a protestant reformation has no idea what a fucking mess the reformation was.
I mean everyone was hopping he'll be the guy to bring Saudi Arabia into the 21st century And for a moment it seems that way
Obviously not a repeat, but something needs done. Either a new religion or a reformation, what it is can't be uglier than it already is. Trust me, I understand but I'm not seeing a real other way out of this situation.
What we need to do is eliminate the Wahhabist and Salafist sects of Islam, because those are the fundamentalist groups that are currently fucking up the Islamic religion and forcefully imposing sharia law and other ultraconservative bullshit. Most people don't know but the core beliefs of Sharia law are supposed to be personal rules you follow and not ones you impose on others (it's why muslim women for example still wear hijabs outside of islamic countries), but because of the fundamentalist revival due to Wahhabist and Salafist sects during the late 1900s, it was re-implemented in a lot of islamist country's laws as they cast of colonial shackles and tried to destroy as much european influence in their governments as possible.
