Here we go again. We gotta crack down on this kinda shit sooner and harder.
I'm sure the likes of facebook, twitter, reddit and all the other alphabet of social media companies including alphabet's social media companies have our country's best interests at heart and will be fine self policing themselves after two elections of fucking up constantly.
I already saw them from two days ago going hard on Sanders, saying stuff without any kind of sources like that he supported invading / participating in the different wars where USA was, or that he was a false socialist because he bought different houses.
Needless to say that these accounts are the same stalinist ones repeating 24/7 about supporting Venezuela so yea, we know who are the ones behind them.
How early does this bullshit begin for you people, how on Earth do you begin the 2020 election campaigns in early 2019.
The constant election mode would drive my political fatigue up the wall. My goodness.
That's The American Way(tm)
It's really because we have terms in washington as short as 2 years, so there are federal level elections every 2 years alongside whatever might be happening within the states.
>calling Sanders a warhawk
Really?
Presidential campaigns are starting earlier and earlier because of how much more money is needed to win after Citizens United. I predict at least 2.5 billion dollars will be spent in 2020.
Well, seeing as my dad at one point disparaged Hillary as being a warhawk and then shortly followed with sneering that Bernie is "just Clinton without tits," I can see people legitimately believing that.
People will believe what they want to believe, facts be damned.
I'm at the point of realizing one person can't do shit. Not even mass groups of people can do shit. Only money does anything in this country. So there's no point in my participating or even investing time into watching the toxic news to keep up. That time is better off spent just making my own way to take care of me. It's probably a lot healthier to switch off, too
From a historical perspective, nothing changes without sacrifice.
It took brothers shooting at each other, for Atlanta to burn, for the United States to get a full fledged federal government and true universal rights.
It took the deaths of President Garfield for civil reform, McKinley to end the Gilded Age, and Kennedy to get civil rights.
It took the greatest economic failure in history for the United States to get social programs.
What do you mean begins?
he did vote in support of nato bombings of kosovo back in 1999

This is good imo. Sanders seems to have a decent idea of when the military should and shouldn't be used, I'm glad he isn't just a total pacifist
Whatever you do, please don't stop voting, or if you don't tend to vote atleast start doing so.

Kosovo was one of the few times the west got it right (as right as a war can get).
Three days later I feel I can respond to this by saying that Cohen's Wild Ride today was a perfect example of something that only happened because thousands/millions of people stood up and campaigned hard enough that the Dems took the House and could make it happen. The only reason the Dems took the House is because turnout was way higher than it would normally be in a midterm. If everyone just tuned out there'd still be a GOP controlled House protecting Trump in every way it could.
