The article says that an hour later the broadcast was repeated and ran through without issue, which is... weird.
The fact that they actually did this and so quickly is disturbing.
I nearly guarantee they have people watching the broadcast with their finger on the "stop" button ready to press it if anything negative is said.

Can we stop beating around the bush and finally call China what it is? A facist authoritarian dictatorship?
The sheer reaction time in how quickly it was pulled makes me imagine a Chinese Winston Smith, sitting apathetically at his cubicle in the Ministry of Truth with his finger over the kill button as he watches the broadcast.
