Ehhhhhhhh....the legality around it is messy, mostly because something like Brexit has never been done before. Good luck passing a Cancel Brexit Bill through Parliament.
If we took the time to vote, we could kill the idea entirely. It sucks I know, but we have to push the certainty down their throats. Remain will win, we must show them exactly how it will win legitimately and in your facey.
I don't believe you. If anything many leave voters have doubled down, and the propaganda machine will come back again in full force. My stepdad went from wanting to leave but hating the Tory establishment to calling Theresa May "the only politician in the UK with any integrity". The truth is that people with too much money benefit too much from a divided and angry population, and the wounds of the first vote are still completely untreated.
Brexit functions like the pitcher in Ring of Fire: Russia, Murdoch, traditionalist Tories and countless other shady forces have all poured their interests into it and now somebody has to down it.

That's how the world works now, as long as you can win the election/referendum/etc it doesn't matter if your methods are found to be illegal afterwards.

The referendum was non binding so they should be able to just kill it (while killing some political careers in the process).
Very few politicians want to take that risk, especially since constitutional law has become complicated in recent years - separation of powers, doctrine of PS, power of the executive etc. Plus, British politicians love their careers; their best interests are prioritised over their country's.
