I'd be surprised if North Korean army doesn't have orders to attack South at full force in that scenario. Don't know how or if that would actually play out though.

Yeah the idea of North Korea attacking sorta falls moot due to how suicidal it would be. Their moral is probably shit and the equipment they have is practically ancient. And they barely have any infrastructure to back them if they ever start a real war. They'll probably install a new leader if the fat bastard Kim croaked or got a bullet to the cranium.
