I mean are they? How many parents are going to buy this for their kids just from their own memories of them?
You know they could go a lot of funny ways about this but I doubt they will.
Final Destination Viewmaster, see your fate on 12 vibrant slides!
Viewmaster of Destiny, see the future and the grand canyon on card 4!
Twilight Zone Viewmaster, see people's fate before it happens and also see the grand canyon!

the movie is going to be a slideshow
Sometimes I wonder if execs really are just zombies lurching towards recognizable brand names hoping to milk every last cent out of them.
Oh wait, no I don't. You don't have to wonder something that's true.
Lacking no forethought?
Let me guess. It's about one that transports the person viewing it into a magical world
jumper with viewmasters
Not meaning to offend, but why are all of your titles like this?
Wow they're remaking Ready Player One already?
It could based on the history of how it came to be.
though I would rather have a monster high movie, but that's just me.
What are you talking about? Did you get Steel confused with someone else?
Yeah this wording is like telling someone to "Don't not do that" when they want them to not do something.
There are two routes they can go, horror movie:

It never really occurred to me how much the internet killed the View-Master. Being able to image search just about anything killed the whole point of them. I remember being a kid pre-internet and it would be mildly interesting to use these things when you found unique disks.
Person 1 was not ready = Person 1 lacked preparation
Person 2 was ready = Person 2 lacked no preparation
am I crazy? title seems perfectly correct to me
Wow Mattel is dangerously acting like they want their stock to go up!
Make it a VR Film
Lacking no forethought means you have no lack of forethought: forethought is abundant. But how does making a viewmaster film demonstrate forethought?
I thought the title was sarcastic.
"oh hold on I gotta change the card!"
You guys have no faith in the writers. What if it's a gritty cop movie directed by Christopher Nolan about a detective who's driven to fight crime in any way he can after the murder of his wife by a couple thugs. His signature move? He beats them to death with a viewmaster
That's why I took the piss a little with my post, I'm trying to work out what it means.
I apologize for the shit title, my attempts at jokes is held hostage by my inability to follow proper English sentence structure and grammar rules, coupled with not bothering to proof read.
The point I was trying to get across is very simple- Mattel is looking for more ways to keep the company afloat by the founding of their film studio. They are quite desperate for cash, they were struggling to keep up even before Toys R Us collapsed last year, and taking the cynical view of "Fuck it, making a film about the Viewmaster toy will get people nostalgic and buy our toys again" is the company putting the cart before the horse. I'm concerned that Mattel will burn itself out by making films that bomb at the box office because they are unimaginative and bland, with the company's only end goal is toy sales that come with the movies.
