oh god i hope the anticheat on this is good. the game isn't that great but it's a game at least
How different is NT from the other Dissidia games in terms of gameplay? The screenshots look funky. I've played both PSP games and liked them a lot, the combat was super fun and felt rewarding.
NT is a 3v3 Arcade game. The way it works is that it almost always breaks into a series of three 1v1s working off a stock system - if a team takes 3 KOs, that's game. Summons work as a team wide buff/debuff and such, and matches are either EXTREMELY FAST and violent or drawn out. The problem I had with it though is that the 3 stock system can mean that if you're doing fine, if someone sandbags they could be your three KO if they don't communicate that they need help, and the alternative is that if two people on the team decide to gang up on you it becomes an endurance match of running away while you hope your team either dogpiles on the other guy or comes to help you. Also I don't think there's anymore of the rails you can grind on like in the PSP games? I forget, been a while. I'd really recommend looking up some gameplay for yourself in videoss - it's Dissidia but it feels different and, for me, not in a good way.
Final Fantasy Tactics has finally made it onto a PC platform
I feel like it's more or less the same gameplay. The big change is just adding the other 4 characters, which changes the dynamics more than the actual gameplay, I suppose. Admittedly I've only spent a few hours playing this in an arcade, but it was perfectly fine. Honestly, grabbing 2 mates and hopping on to discord, I could see this being an absolute blast.
Did they ever fix the UI taking up 60% of the screen? I wanted to pick this up because I loved the PSP games but that really turned me off buying it.
