I can't get audio after moving over hardware, even after fresh windows install

A few days ago, my new pc died. Atleast, either the cpu or mobo did. In the meantime of it getting fixed, I decided to use my older pc. The problem is, I can't get audio, whatever I do.
I moved over my ssd with windows and my new videocard, the rest is older hardware. Every wire is plugged into the mobo, I have updated drivers, I have removed drivers, I have set the bios settings to standard, I have even reinstalled Windows but I just can't get sound.
Currently I have two headphones, one with usb and one with 3.5mm jack. Both don't work, whichever usb port or jack I use. The odd thing is though, that whenever I hook up a ps4 controller to my pc and then plug in headphones into the controller, I can get sound. Atleast, in windows itself and certain games. Starting up certain other games removes sound completely though.
I am currently running an amd cpu, the new cpu(that's probably dead) is an intel 8600K.
So yeah, this got me fucked up because nothing seems to work. If anyone has some crazy ideas I haven't come across with Google yet, hit me up
Uhh, have you put Speakers as the default output device? On W10 - Settings - Sound - Sound Control Panel and check what's the default one.
Just asking, the issue sounds like it could be something dumb and easily overlooked.

Yup, checked everything but the only thing I have is Digital Audio(S/PDIF), even when I hook up speakers or headphones, nothing shows up(except for the ps4 controller)
You said you removed drivers, but are there new audio drivers from your MOBO manufacturer's website you can install?
Also, I'm assuming you're plugging directly into the MOBO's 3.5mm jack and USB ports and not the front panel or something, right?
Tried every jack and USB port I could find, front and back, nothing works. And yeah, I have tried multiple drivers for my mobo.
You say USB port, have you really tried using a headset with its own controller - ie. the USB port-plugging-kind? I believe that 35mm jacks would be a paint without specific drivers, but if USB headsets also don't get detected, that could mean a bigger issue.
Ye man, I have. Shits so weird
