PREVIOUSLY, on TF2 General Chat & Speculation V16:
Sketchek faked his death all this time
TF2 comic creators barely started on it
Ms. Pauling won't leave me alone please tell her to stop asking me to do non-existent contracts.

seems like nobody is fighting anymore to get the opening post.
at any rate, this one will probably end without a major update again
The last time I actively tried to make an opening post that also improved on what was included in it (such as actually giving some links descriptions), I was one-upped by a random person who literally copy-pasted the previous OP word-for-word (except for the witty title of course) and posted 5 minutes after the first closed.
So why bother? On mobile the bad joke titles are all cut off anyways
Who cares about the first spot when there hasn't been anything to speculate on or talk about besides sniper since 2017?
Also, is Tyler's recent tf2 video/unconfirmed heavy update information even worth mentioning in the highlights from last thread?
Honestly I completely forgot about the video .
I'd like a recap for it.
somehow it's hard for me to listen a video when there's average bad gameplay filler recording in the background (seems like the trendy thing to do?)
That new thread smell. Goes well with that ever increasing "can't vote for the next map" bug.
-TF2's development is in good hands
-Said good hands are people that are genuinely interested in the game and not people motivated purely by its profits.
-The current team acknowledges that raising the bar for so many years has made the community expect more and more
-we're not in 2009-2011 anymore.
-heavy update is being worked on.
Anyone knows if someone made a dakimakura of Ms. Pauling? I mean, it would be a great prize for a HL/6's tournament.
yes, yes there is. in fact, there are dakimakuras of all 9 classes.

There was one of the members of this thread/emporium who legit purchased a Ms. Pauling body pillow, with the art coming from the in-game model.
So basically this blog post might as well be
http://www.teamfortress.com/images/posts/ETF2L_small.png
[It has been 497 days since the last major update.]
Raising the bar? Geez, all we expect is a little spring cleaning and maintainence every now and again.
If you expect an Uber update every year, that’s foolish, but letting shit like the sticky det through walls bug, or map vote break go unresolved for huge swaths of time is ridiculous.
The nicest sounding weapon in the game is the stock Revolver.
An actual joke on a blog post? It gives me a tiny bit of hope that a writer was working on a blogpost for a major update and wrote that one as well.
Anyway if the heavy update is coming soon like VNN is suggesting I would love to see Valve do some in game teasers a week or two before they ship the update. Even if it's not something like the MVM tanks or UFOs I would love to see some posters in spawn rooms like we've seen in the past. It would of been great if Jungle Inferno had gotten in game teaser posters for Mercenary Park and Dragon's Fury before the update.
TBH, I'd be even happier with a bugfix and balance update vs a bunch of new content. Also, a VAC ban wave that takes out the "L" word, the "N" word and maybe the "C" word would fan-fucking-tabulous.
Imagine Blue Moon 2: Electric Case-a-loo. New case, chock full of tiered cosmetics. New key required to open it. Same unusual effects. Or maybe we get super lucky and some NEW hat-only effects. No unusual miscs. No new unusual weapon effects.
We also get a bunch of things un-fucked. From the BFB (see my post at the end of the last thread) to the Gas Passer, the Wrangler (see Dane), the Dragon's Fury (make it not shit), the Phlog (no mmph from flares), the Diamondback (no crits from sappled buildings), remove the L&W Heavy nerf (okay, I'm just fantasizing at this point) etc etc. Not even any new strange weapons. Just some bug fixes and balance tweaks.
Possibly cast an eyeball to MvM. There's a metric fucktonne of bugs to address there. Hell, get silly and release some new aussies (Shortstop, Pistol, Direct Hit, Degreaser, Shotgun, Iron Bomber, Natascha, Fists of Steel, Rescue Ranger, Ubersaw, Crossbow, Bazaar Bargain, Shiv, L'Etranger, YER). I strongly suspect Australium weapons are not difficult to code. It's a basic texture layout on a strange with the "is Australium" flag. That alone would reinvigorate interest in MvM, even if there were no new maps or missions.
Then we get a proper Heavy update some time this summer. For values of "summer" that include "it hasn't snowed yet in North America."
A man can dream, can't he?

What about this?
Natascha is best sounding weapon in game, both spun up and firing. Is no debate here.
Big Kill. Stock Revolver noise is too satisfying, and I love Big Kill's cobalt coloring (and Sam & Max).
Close second is stock Minigun because #FatManMain
actually guys the huo long heater has the best noise
Frontier Justice has the best sound .
So anyways
I want to dip my toe into modding to continue with that plan for a gameplay-improving server in Valve's long absence. But, I want to start simple: The only mod I'm going to start out with is Heavy being able to swap weapons as soon as he starts spinning down his minigun. Who would be willing to help me go about this? I know there are probably tons of guides online, and this is presumably going to take 10 minutes at most, but I'd really rather somebody experienced help me walk through the steps.
but the spin is a generic library audio used for forklifts in every show or game ever
Nah just give me the Heavy update it's been 500 days already.
Except we have no info on if heavy update is being worked on. The last time this was confirmed officially was 968 days ago (2 years and half); In this blog post Team Fortress 2
I get that it's only logical to expect the heavy update after jungle inferno. But have we seen a post announcing the update theme and inviting community to make content? Have we seen any post re-confirming heavy update, after jungle inferno? I'm afraid not.
not to mention it still isn't even a direct confirmation.
its barely more than a "maybe"
that bit refers to the content that goes along the update itself: comics, multiday update pages, sfm animations, etc.
