In order to live in a free society we must have millions of deaths per year due to easily preventable deadly diseases.

Allowing people to go unvaccinated causes serious risk for other people and could potentially kill a lot of people. B-but but.... I thought facts don't care about your feelings?
This is par for the course when it come to republicans; I remember talking to someone about vaccinations who said that forcing people to get them was "socialist" yet they would go and say that the draft and other forms of mandatory military services was perfectly acceptable and "for the good of the country". (despite the fucking fact that the soviets had mandatory military service)

To be fair to broken old Jim, I don't think he's made any public antivax statements in years. Anytime I've heard of his name coming up in reference to antivax for at least four years has been other people bringing up when he was dating Jenny My Kid's Not-Autism Was Caused By Vaccines McCarthy. It's possible that he might still hold these beliefs, and I've hardly done an exhaustive search to prove it, but it feels to me that people talking about Carrey and antivax these days are repeating a dead meme.
