Is it possible to describe what this is or is it that disturbing?
OP was just joking, it's just a Halloween mask, you can read the article. If you're asking what the Momo challenge is, it's apparently a hoax, it's supposedly a challenge that tells children how to kill themselves but there are no videos of it to be found and no evidence that children are actually killing themselves over it.
Like that White Whale challenge or whatever from a few years back?
the momo thing is a weird looking bird person with a gross mouth and no eyelids. It's uncomfortable to look at but it's not gore or anything
There was something like that a couple of years ago that was legit. Whether it was at the start or not, by the end there actually was someone or a group or something that was basically trying to get kids and teens to harm themselves to be "cool" and shit.
Hoax or not, children around 10 years old are talking about it like crazy in schools, at least in New Zealand, from what I hear
Wasn't this already in the news last year? It's just a weird Japanese sculpture. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/230993/44be2ea7-cd33-421e-9a0a-ec2851e934ef/image.png Yeah the "blue whale challenge" was pretty fucked up. I remember seeing a legit video on Youtube of a kid cutting themselves because someone told them to. At least Momo seems to be bullshit so far.
I had never seen the full thing. The face alone is creepy as shit, but the whole thing removes all creepiness. It just looks like a retarded chicken.
My coworker was explaining this to me yesterday and told me that her school actually sent a newsletter home warning parents about it. It sounded like the stupidest fucking thing.
I thought that one was real? Some Russian guy got arrested for it and said he did it because people are worthless.
youtube is so dumb it makes me wanna kill myself jk no momo
There were actually a few people preying on kids through that, though the original version was probably a hoax
I saw today a video on Facebook from a French media website about this. They were showing a youtube video telling children to cut themself but it was a filthyfrank video... After that they were claiming the Momo was hidden inside Fortnite. Truly the work of professionnals.
The My Immortal Fanfiction certainly had a lot of 'harm themselves to be cool.

What's funny is that the game she's featured in has a Minecraft look to it and it really kills the horror aspect by how dissonant the tone is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMTBINTHRBw
I wonder how the original sculptor feels about all this, if I made a piece and of art and later found out people were using it to create things in bad faith i'd be pissed.
There’s a guy does marble racing videos in which one of the teams is called Team Momo. I hope that guy’s videos don’t get demonitised over this.
Just in, every cooking channel making Nepalese dumplings has been banned. Momo are the best dumplings out there.
I'm a teacher and I think newsletters warning parents about Momo are a bad idea, it just alerts more children to it. They'll go online to seek the picture for themselves, show their friends, spread rumours and make things worse. I've known some children to have nightmares because they've seen the (face only) picture and heard that Momo is out to get them, Momo makes people hurt themselves, they're no longer safe in their homes and so on. Videos or not, it's bad enough in itself because they're only kids and believe Momo is a real person in the same way they believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

Is it this one? I posted it on LMAO Pics a week back: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58083/9657afbe-b9c9-4cce-baf1-e005c15cde48/image.png
Why is this suddenly having a reemergence? I thought this "challenge" was going around at least half a year ago.
What's even weirder is that Momo is actually based on a Yokai from japanese mythology. Imagine if a symbol of your country folklore became o symbol of toxic internet culture... https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/239377/cf4e1e54-0a8c-4f92-aaab-5c8d749ff205/trold-q5Xee3cNR-DG1QlDznSd6w.jpg OH WAIT
The term troll in regards to internet trolling actually comes from the fishing term
WHY DOES THE RETARDED CHICKEN STATUE HAVE BOOBS
To give you something that's easy to fuck, just to get you used to be around her, or it.
