Deputy Chief Stephen Dorsey said officers came in contact with the 46-year-old man in the emergency room of Marion General Hospital shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday, according to WXIN. There, the man told officers  he was on a walkway near a Girl Scout cabin when the Hi Point 9mm handgun on his waist began to slip. The man said he reached down to adjust the gun, accidentally causing it to discharge. Police said the bullet entered just above the man’s penis and exited his scrotum. According to police, the man doesn’t have an Indiana handgun license and the case will be sent to the Grant County Prosecutor’s Office for review. The news is too short, so I place the complete article Alt source: Man accidentally shoots himself in penis
Indiana man without gun license accidentally shoots  Oh no! himself in penis Ha, get fucked!
That's what you get for buying a Hi-Point, and being a general idiot.
And nothing of value was lost.
It cannot be stressed enough: If you're going to carry, carry properly. Get your permit if you need one, get a proper holster and belt, and don't administratively handle your firearm.
And exited his scrotum lol damn.
This sounds like he tried to appendix carry that Hi Point without a proper holster. He's lucky that he didn't hit his femoral artery.
Police said the bullet entered just above the man’s penis and exited his scrotum.
I knew a guy in a school I went to who had a class c felony charge on work release for carrying without a license, so
Shit that it happened; good that he was the only victim of his negligence.
Just let the guy go, self-castration seems like punishment enough.
I can't say I'm surprised this dumbass lives in my state 🤦‍♀️ he definitely shouldn't get a license to carry after this.
Yeah, I don't think he deserves jail time after that. Put him on probation for a good 3-5 years, community service, mandatory gun safety training, etc.
he probably just bought it considering you don't need a license to buy a handgun in Indiana - just need to pass a background check which typically doesn't catch excessive stupidity.
I mean I never apendix carry out of fear of this reason alone. I also don't shove hipoints in my waistband like an idiot either. What a dumbass.
natural selection. just as the lion fells the buffalo on the serengeti, so too does the Indiana man blast off his own repoductive organs.
what if he gets his nut juice preserved? what happens to "natural selection" then?
Ok Jebediah, creationism wins
Wasn't there a guy last year who shot himself in the sick with a glock whilst walking out the gun store?
I had an old roommate with his CCW who had an appendix holster. He was a really big, beefy guy - I'm talking 6 foot 5, 300+ pounds, so his primary belly flap totally covered the thing. But he carried everyday for as long as I knew him, always kept the safety on, never kept a round chambered, and had been doing so for 4 years prior to me meeting him - never once an accidental discharge. There's nothing wrong with appendix carry if you're smart about it. When I asked him if he was ever worried about shooting his crotch or possibly an artery in his leg, he said he'd practiced every day since he'd owned it to be able to draw and chamber a round quickly and safely enough for it to be useful. I was pretty impressed that when I asked him to demonstrate, he drew, chambered, and had it pointing forward (not at me) in the blink of an eye, proper trigger discipline the whole time. (and for those worried, we were in the backyard at the place I was renting a room, and the outside led to a wide open valley with nothing to hit other than dirt and bushes)
Appendix is a solid way to carry, don't get me wrong. I'd just rather take a bullet to the ass cheek than to the family jewels.
