I dunno I'm not too impressed.
He didn't beat the game on hard mode he switched the difficulty back to normal.
Worse yet he could have had the command prepared to speed up the run a bit with a quick Ctrl+V.
I think we will be seeing major improvements in this any% category soon enough once runners start taking this category a bit more seriously.
i've seen enough speedruns to say i can't actually tell if you're joking or not lol
Does his count as speedrun?

I really miss the versatility of the source console. When someone on one of my Zombie Master servers was being a cunt, I would tell them to break a crate.
Little did they know, I would add an ent_fire to the crate and add an output to it on break, so when they broke it, their game quit. Could fiddle with all of their settings, actually. :p
I'm pretty sure there was an ent_fire command to delete the player, forcing the game to crash on their end.
You could just do ent_fire !picker kill and whoever you were aiming at would crash. Best thing (that I never did because I am not truly evil) is set their mouse sensitivity to 99999 and quit after. This would save that configuration and mean they would crash every time they moved the mouse in-game. :p
Yeah my friends and me used to run a server for Left 4 Dead that rebind everyone's control so their character would start laughing.
I never knew stuff like that wppas possible to do.
You need to turn cheats on and off to do it. Not sure why Valve allowed servers to fuck with client variables but it sure was fun. Could get them to say things and all sorts. It would be quite amusing to reindeer every key to 'kill'
Big part of the reason why Old Valve game has such a huge modding community. That said it is kinda abusable.
