Roger Stone on Sunday suggested he has been “framed” by special counsel Robert Mueller in an Instagram post that appeared to run afoul of a judge’s barely week-old gag order
barring President Donald Trump’s longtime friend from criticizing the prosecutors in the criminal case against him.
Stone deleted the only image in that multi-image post that included “Who framed Roger Stone” language shortly after CNBC emailed his lawyer to ask about it.
Stone’s post was put online less than 48 hours after the judge, Amy Berman Jackson, ordered lawyers for the admitted Republican “dirty trickster” to explain why they did not tell her
earlier about the planned publication of a book by Stone that could violate her gag order on him.
Stone’s new post is comprised of a rotating series of images that ask for money to support Stone’s defense to charges that he lied to Congress and tampered with a witness. The post
originally had an image showing Stone wearing eyeglasses under the words “Who Framed Roger Stone,” a reference to the movie “Who Framed Roger Rabbit.”
it's clear he gives a flying fuck about the law, so why not just fine him ten or fifteen million dollars, with a jail sentence thrown in if he wont pay?
This judge needs to lock him up. I'm tired of this guy flagrantly ignoring law and consequence.
Fines won't matter to him. Throw him in Leavenworth for a decade or three instead.
it's not a question about fines mattering, the greatest fear of rich people is losing their money. The more he shoots off his mouth, the bigger a fine he can pay, until he refuses and we get an excuse to toss him into the jail until his sentencing.
We don't need one. He's already violated his gag order three times in the past week. The judge has all the justification necessary to revoke bail and remand Stone to the clink at any time.
man I hope he gets served papers straight to his face.
ok who let grandpa off his meds
So why hasn't the judge acted against him yet?
I thought the judge in question was suppose to be a hardass on this kind of behavior.
He should have been thrown into jail a week ago now.
The judge demanded his lawyers explain on Monday what the flying flim flam fuck is going on with the text messages he sent the other day and the book he's apparently about to release (including comments on Mueller's case) that he didn't tell the judge about. With this latest one I can see her going "don't even bother, I don't need to hear it, your client's bail is revoked and he's to report to jail immediately before I sign an arrest warrant for his ass".
Judges still have to give lawyers a fair amount of time to respond, and Stone's taking full advantage of the procedural delay to try and break the rules faster than he can be punished for them. That only works for so long, as Paul Manafort found out.
him, probably his lawyer, and every other idiot legally covered by his gag order.
Why not both? Split the millions up to charities or some other reputable organizations.
Then, let his cell be flooded with pictures and letters from the people the fines positively affected.
Charge him rent instead.
I'm hoping very much that the judge will slap him with Contempt of Court -- because that's exactly what he's doing.
