Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson endorsed the QAnon conspiracy theory on his Twitter account. Tweeting to his nearly 3.7 million followers Saturday, Notch posted, “Q is
legit. Don’t trust the media,” confirming just after, “I might be the most serious I’ve ever been.”
After the 2016 election and the victory of Donald Trump, Pizzagate involved into the more elaborate QAnon conspiracy, beginning with anonymous 4chan posts from a person or people
called Q, believed on faith to have high security clearance and access to the Trump administration’s inner workings.
It’s hard to say exactly what version of the conspiracy Notch is endorsing, though he does offer some hints. “Someone is definitely posting under that name, and whoever it is had
gotten people digging real deep to uncover the truth,” Persson wrote, later posting to Twitter the QAnon adherent catchphrase WWG1WGA (“Where we go one, we go all”).
Notch has also tweeted about supposed tunnels beneath Washington D.C., presumably used to traffick children. Beyond that, Notch has been non-specific about exactly what aspects
of the QAnon conspiracy theory he believes.
I endorse not giving Notch the attention he clearly and dearly craves.
Really drives the point home that someone being rich doesn't mean they aren't actually a complete retard.
His programming ability and work ethic already nailed that point home years ago.
Herobrine is legit. Don't trust the media.
Sometimes I have little fantasies of "oh man, if I had a time machine, I could steal Minecraft for myself. It would be better designed, and I'd be rich."
Part of me worries "no, that hypothetical time traveling copyright infringement would be morally wrong."
But then I remember how much of an asshole he is and I stop caring.
i wish i had a time machine
Ik, separate the art from the artist etc, but it genuinely hurts to see the creator of a game ive played for 10 years go this way and trash his legacy. What a fucking fall from grace, from one of gamings most loved personality, to this shit.
Imagine being Notch.
Imagine being known as the creator of what might just be the most popular video game of the 21st century.
Imagine becoming a billionaire from your creation and getting to retire at an early age in a beautiful mansion in the LA hills that you outbid Beyonce and Jay-Z on.
Imagine knowing that you have the potential to leave behind an amazing legacy, not just with the game you made, but with the mass riches which allow you to almost anything in the entire world. Untapped riches which could be used to make the world a better place and improve so many lives.
Imagine having the ability to do so much good in the world.
And then imagine having all that and yet being a toxic basement dweller who calls women cunts on twitter and peddles alt-right conspiracy bullshit like QAnon and claiming that white genocide is real.
What a fucking disappointment of a human being.
Finally, an legitimate reason to hate Minecraft and Notch for true haters on this.

what the hell am I reading
I wonder if the media will finally come to terms with Microsoft purchasing a popular video game and its development company that has ties to AGDG on /v/. With that in mind, Notch, you're believing shitposts on /pol/ like people believe graffiti on the wall of a truck stop. You could argue to not trust the media, but you're flat out wrong about Q.
Few things make me stop taking someone seriously as hard as a grown adult wading into the whole NPC malarky.
I remember when I used to read Notch's devblog. It's probably a good thing that I stopped reading it a while ago since I would have potentially been indoctrinated by this guy's batshit insane ramblings, assuming that he's posted them in the blog.
It's fucking terrifying how much damage this idiot could do with his money. Let's pray he sticks to stupid shit like building a room with 200,000 dollars worth of candy in it and not funding far right groups.
I'm pretty sure being that wealty just rots your brain or something.
I honestly feel sorry for him.
Isn't this guy in MENSA?
A disturbing thought that I just had - Imagine all the young kids/Minecraft fans that look up to Notch reading this on Twitter and going down the QAnon rabbit hole.
I'm usually not one for "think of the kids" argument, as that argument is usually used for bad faith slippery slope fallacies. But, in this case, it feels frighteningly valid.
IQ does not always translate to having a grasp on reality.
I don't know, the art in Minecraft is pretty shit so that might actually reflect the artist.
Wow, that kinda pisses me off
Like... extremely
Isn't Minecraft super popular with children that are diagnosed with it? Really great to know that Notch thinks lowly of them
I quote the SuperBestFriendCast "Time ethics do not exist."
is notch still mad that half the profits of the sale of minecraft to microsoft was taxed by his government
I still remember listening to friends in the OSI labs at my uni bitching about Notch's spaghetti code.
Man, this hurts read. I'm not sure if he was secretly always like this, but it feels like his life just went down a really dark path between the sudden wealth, divorce, and father's suicide.
Celebrities being influenced by /pol/ is sadly not new.

It hurts me because he was such a hero to me as a kid. I used to check on updates on that space game he was working on all the time.
