God damn Jon is absolutely riding Rhaegal this season.
Miguel Sapochnik (who directed battle of the bastards) is directing most of the action episodes this season, with David Nutter (The Red Wedding and Walk of Shame) doing a few others and DnD doing the finale.
That sounds so promising, the battle of the bastards has to be one of the best battle scenes in the entire series.
I can only imagine the reunions this season and all the chills I'll feel.
One episode in particular is going to be one of the longest (if not the longest) ever committed to film, beating out Helms Deep which ran 40 minutes. Game of Thrones first look
Yeah, but we're going to be getting in lore spinoffs in the future. Personally I hope there will be different mediums, plus a good nonmod game that isn't Reigns.
among other things
That trailer looks amazing. I was late on the bandwagon (started watching around Season 7), but nevertheless, I'll probably need a bit of a recap at some point Crazy hyped to see what the endgame for GoT is like.
We also need a new thread in the film section so we can nitpick all of D&D's failings
I can't wait to see it, I'm so glad I had an opportunity to work as an extra for 2 days on ep. 5, hope I can make myself out when I see it. I was supposed to be one of the golden company soldiers, but at the costume fitting got changed to a flea bottomer. Worked out well in the end because golden company extras had a pretty hard 3 day bootcamp, battle scenes and a real brutal UK army drill sergeant shouting over anyone taking a step out of formation and stuff. It was physically exhausting as it was, working from 4:30 am to 7pm in 25°C weather wearing furs. All I had to do was carry some baskets and run around. Also Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is a great sport, between takes he told us a story of how the security said there were radio jammers on set to disruot any drones, but one time someone flew a drone into the set in the middle of filming. Also after one of the takes he asked us if we all knew there was a 2nd camera further ahead, to which we all replied with yes, and he told us not to stop acting.. Because he did, mid way through the take he stopped still and started just casually looking around bored prompting a re-take. Also that golden hand seemingly gets super sweaty, he was taking it off between takes even for 15 second breaks. Other than that.. The hound is intimidating as fuck in real life, he seems to tower over me and im 6'2",though I'm sure the makeup and armour helps. Somehow this one old man who clearly doesn't watch the show confused him with another extra and was having a casual chat with him on the way back to starting point, talking about pay and stuff and if he was on set before lol.
