how many remaining tories are there at this point?
Their membership numbers are actually embarrassingly low, so low that they didn't release the number for quite a few years until 2018, when they finally admitted they are slightly smaller than the SNP and slightly larger than the Lib Dems https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_party_affiliation_in_the_United_Kingdom#Current_membership
Seems like the conservatives were looking at labour's antisemitism and didn't want to feel left out.
Tories actually being more accountable than Labour. Bit of an oof for Corbyn and his ilk who can't seem to get a grip on it. How embarrassing.
Have you ever thought about becoming a writer for the Daily Star?
To be fair to labour, while I do think the conservatives were more swift and clear about their position on Islamophobia they have been suspending some of their more obvious offenders. It just takes them forever and they have yet to remove their biggest, Corbyn.
A third said they could not vote for Sajid Javid, the home secretary, in any forthcoming leadership race, because that would amount to a vote for “Islam to lead this country”. But Sajid Javid isn't even a muslim lmao
yeah but hes brown so he must be
Strong and stable
· Jewish Policy Research - a Jewish think-tank - conducted an extensive survey looking into anti-semitism, including on the left (2017). They concluded, and I quote, 'antisemitism is no more prevalent on the left than in the general population'. · A Cross-Party Home Affairs Select Committee was tasked with looking into levels of anti-semitism in the UK (2017). It concluded, and I quote, '...there exists no reliable, empirical evidence to support the notion that there is a higher prevalence of antisemitic attitudes within the Labour Party than any other political party.' · There is, further, yougov data on antisemitic attitudes that indicates antisemitic attitudes have actually reduced in Labour under Corbyn (2018). · The Chakrabarti inquiry looked into the accusations of significant antisemitism in Labour and found no significant problem. · In 2016, Channel 4 Dispatches programme did a 6 month undercover investigation of Momentum, looking for dirt, including anti-semitism. They found none at all. After six months of undercover investigation. · Met Police investigations have found no evidence of supposed institutional antisemitism from Stephen Law who told you to think this?
If you're going to criticise Sajid Javid for anything, go straight for his love of Thatcherism and genuine appreciation of Ayn Rand (how positively horrific), not a religion he's not even a part of.
Where Tories are concerned, those are positive qualities.
