I can't speak for the below aspects, but according to their Twitter account the legal notice was served by a police officer and handed over 50 metres away.
Call me crazy, but I'd much sooner lean on 'Tommy Robinson' making things up - the same person who is later shouting how they're a pedophile and a 'threat to women and children' - than the alternative.

Thus far there is no evidence of anything he's said other than his own word which is literally always the case with him.
