For people who have never heard of them, IDW has their fingers in just about everything: TMNT, Ghostbusters, Hasbro series like GI Joe and Transformers, Sonic, and Judge Dredd. Disney also license stuff out to them, include Marvel characters Spider-Man and Big Hero 6.

I don't think you are aware but the Sonic Archie Comics was discontinued years ago, the IDW Comics is a reboot and is going though a route i actually like.

And it's been worked on by the Post-Reboot Archie Sonic Comic folks meaning it's quite good.
