I feel like this's been going on for at least three years and I just didn't have any idea why games with no listed release date (and a store description saying like 6 months out) were showing up in the upcoming list next to actual imminent releases.
Honestly one of the reasons why i blocked the indie tag on steam. At one point the whole upcoming games list was just filled with low efford asset flip garbage.

For comedy
I haven't been keeping up with "new games" but this is really sad to hear, because I remember when "Indie" was such a optimistic-feeling tag where we were having floods of high quality indie games to try out and get.
The overall industry definitely slowed down, I'm sad to say.
Even Steam, once the PC gaming giant, has just been having little bits of "bleh" or bad news over the years, where I wouldn't be surprised that the reason we still stick with it is because some of us already own hundreds of games on there already, that usually we can't do much else with. If it wasn't for that, it very well may have fizzled out, by now.
