Judge Jack Robison reported himself to the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct after the outburst on Jan. 12, 2018, according to the committee's disciplinary document. Robison presided over the trial of Gloria Romero Perez, who was charged with continuous sex trafficking and the sale or purchase of a child. When Robison was informed the jury reached a guilty verdict, he told them her conviction would be a miscarriage of justice and asked them to keep deliberating. "The judge later apologized to the jury, and said something to the effect of, 'When God tells me I gotta do something, I gotta do it,'" officials wrote in the report. Robison provided letters from two medical professionals that Robison's outburst was caused by a "temporary, episodic medical condition referred to as a 'delirum.'" The professionals said that the issue appears to be resolved and that Robison is not currently experiencing the same impairment.
Well constitution says that there should be a seperation of church and state, so god can get fucked, fuck you Texas.
Good thing the results of a case are not totally up to the judge.
At what point does he go through a fairly rigorous mental health examination? People don't just get delirious, if this is the bullshit excuse he wants to use he should pay the price.
Nobody who ever suffers from delirium should be allowed to hold a gavel.
Well i've been in contact with shub-niggurath and she tells me your god is fat and ugly.
No way shub-niggurath, the mother of a thousand young, got any business callin anyone fat
The headline should read "Texas judge stays on bench after claiming voices told him defendant was innocent"
The article says the maximum punishment is suspension, not removal, and they only did a public warning.
Still a pointless "punishment" for basically having a clinically insane man sit on the bench and decide peoples fates. If the voices in his head were described as anything other than "God" then he'd be ridiculed and thrown out. There is certainly precedent, even in the state of Texas, to remove judges for mental instability.
The horrible truth the black goat is sharing, is that all gods are fat.
Don't talk shit about goatmom
