Too see someone initially skeptical of this game praise it so much and sound so happy about it, it makes me really giddy and really says good things about the game and how it's gonna preform.

Because of a thread I was on getting de-railed a couple days ago on 4chan I ended up giving the first game (i beat it in a day) & third (playing through now) a try with the hd collection.

i bought the 4th game and pre-ordered the 5th, this series is fucking nuts man

The joy of the DMC series, the games are just long enough to get you hooked on some of the best combat in the industry, but also short enough that you can blast through the back catalogue in a day or two of non-stop play.

Honestly the HD collection has been a godsend for getting people in to the series, it's a generally well put together port of a collection of PS2 games that just about hold up visually today. Barring the 4:3 menu backgrounds in the first game. That's kinda ugly.

The DMC games are made to be replayed. Once you've gone through all of them don't be shy about going through them on higher difficulties or trying to get better ranks on missions. Higher difficulties have completely new enemy placements and in DMC4 (I'm sure it will be the case in DMC5 as well) bosses also have new moves.

Yeah, I plan on going back through after playing through each to get better ranks/clear them on higher difficulties.

I may need to check these out, the combat in these games is what put me off them, never been a huge 'Hack & Slash' fan, but I can't deny that these cutscenes are making me interested.
