I feel like the video's maybe trying too hard to be zany but at least the gameplay looks good.
I'm really liking the unique weapon designs and how creative use of weapons, abilities, and physics play a part in combat. The more I see of this game the more it looks tempting. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/214349/83f596dc-705b-4dfa-883b-01fb212783cd/rage2cannon.PNG Also this appears to be what is basically a more powerful, high-tech version of Quake 1's nailgun what with the alternating barrels that quickly fire small projectiles. I saw an interview or gameplay impressions article or something and apparently it's mostly just a marketing thing. The game itself, while still more light-hearted than RAGE 1, is a little bit more grounded than what the trailers suggest.
I wonder if this game will also run at a high frame rate on all platforms. That was one of the main wow factors for me with Rage 1.
feels weird seeing this without andrew w.k screaming get ready to die
This looks similar in how it's held to the Gauss Cannon in DOOM. But instead it shoots puny nails instead of steel flechettes.
Man I love the look of the gunplay in this game. Looks so chunky and satisfying. I wanna play it but I know the Open World is a turn off for me now a days.
No it's the "Get Ready To Die" song.
This honestly looks closer to bulletstorm 2 than rage 2
RAGE 2 is always weird to me, because trailers make it look bad but when I see continuous gameplay, it looks really fun.
Being co-developed by post-Doom4 id makes me think this will actually be something decent.
Going to wait and see, since I love post apocalyptic, but I'm already tired of pastel colors and graffiti.
Oh, lol. Either way.
Rage 1 wasn't really "open world" though, it was a series of levels all connected by a big main hub that you could drive through in between. Nonetheless I agree it's still impressive what they've been able to pull off on the ps3 and 360, aside from the fact the game was split into three discs on consoles.
