Well Hello there,
I was recently waiting for the rust wipe and saw the change log pop up so I began reading through it and saw that rust had now supported vulkan. This is a huge leap in performance for any AMD user such as myself; though upon reading up on how to enable it I came to a loss of ideas on to how to actually use it.
Anywho I came to the process of right clicking on the game in steam and going to "Set-launch options" after that I put "-force-vulkan" and the game seemed to launch. I was super excited and couldn't wait for the performance boost I could get, I instantly clicked on Rusty moose monthly and tried to jump in before the queue got to big. Shortly there after I went through asset warm-up and... Crashed... So I quickly relaunched the game only to get a few second farther for it to crash again, same thing happened to a friend that enabled it the same way.
Not sure if we did it wrong or if its a bug right now. I should have plenty of horse power in my PC and would love to see more performace through Vulkan.
Thanks,
Drew7822.
