I think some of the eletrical components should be known by default, to estimulate players that build bases use them more frequently on the bases, the itens on rust are increasing, and the cost to a solo player to experience all rust itens in just one weekly wipe server is almost impossible, and the farm is really messy, the eletrical components takes a slot, and the recycle result is really trash, they don't give any scrap. Ways to fix:  Option 1:  Make some of the eletrical components default blueprint, downgrade the level requirements. Ceiling Light All logical components (And, OR, XOR) Triggers as Switch Eletrical boxes (Branch, Root Combiner, Memory Cell, etc). Basically all the level 1 eletrical stuff should be default, and eletrical stuff level 2 be level 1. Option 2: Research/Study them without knowing, through a new system, where you select the item you want to experiment. This option would take out the eletrical components of lootboxes, and make them avaliable only through "Studying", would be like Research, but without being random, you choose what to study, with the costs such as 20 or 75 scraps. Positive point: Clean research's sample search and make it more profitable way to get useful blueprints, items as chair, tank top, reactive target, watch tower, would be optional to learn by studying. Option 3:  Simply eletrical components blueprint on lootboxes, instead of itself. Would be less itens on the inventory, and cleaner looting. Negative point: Repeating blueprints
The Rust devs aren't building the game balance around weekly wipes, how can anyone accomplish anything in a week? Every weekend you're starting over. If you're playing on a weekly wipe server and it doesn't have boosted gather rates to compensate for the weekly wipes, go play on a server that isn't so aggressive with deleting your progress every week or join a group.
The Rust devs aren't building the game balance around weekly wipes, Well, they should, after all it's in their roadmap: Farming 3.0 Wipeless rust Weight Limits & Backpacks My point should impact in these 3 goals.
Wipeless Rust How do you square away no wipes with balancing the game around weekly wipes?? These two are diametrically opposite.
It's not balancing the weekly wipes that i'm targeting, is the necessity. The lack of necessity of weekly/monthly wipes that will make rust wipeless. To make rust free of wipes (that is almost impossible as servers need to update rust monthly in order to get more players, and the gameplay of rust doesn't allow this yet), the gameplay of rust will have to change, i see your point, but modded servers or teaming should not be a required parameter to play. The servers that are wiping weekly are not doing this because it's a strategy, it's necessity. The gameplay of rust is highly focused on gathering and protect the progress (the progress is the loot, the only way to 100% save some progress is to learn the loot), once you get everything, the game is basically wasting resources to get resources (raiding), Rust is a online game only, and it looks like a campaign game.
The game right now is meant for monthly wipes, after all there is a force wipe every month. The rust devs can't please everyone. Like elix said if you want to play weekly server you should play a moded server.
My opinion is not only for weekly servers, and i don't want to play on modded neither weekly servers, so i have no option but to play community servers vanilla because there's no LATAM official servers and the official servers are 100+ ping, and there are more hackers. The last time i played solo on official server i was double headshoted, not incredible ,but... days after, i saw that the guy was banned. I'm not wanting to devs please everyone, i just want to rust become more casual players friendly, it's so hard? if there's only competitive mode it's hard to the game attract new players, rust have toxic community, and is very hard to newbies. So the game eventually will die as the old players stop to play frequently, this is one of the reasons that Tibia is dying... The oil rig update was unnecessary, it's just a new feature, new way to achive loot that already could be found on the cargo/chinook/elite crates. The focus should be on performance, anti-cheat and balances, non cosmetic updates. Updates from roadmap 2018 that are more important than oil rig: -Item Amounts -Farming 3.0 -New Spawn Options
