I think there is something to be said for the difficulties and annoyances of the Rust inventory system, and looking at the road map their appears to be plans to address that eventually. But for now, a few things would certainly be nice. Ammo Boxes: Carrying stacks of ammo to a raid is annoying. Like, really annoying, and its kind of awkward only being able to carry 3 bandages in the same pocket as 128 .556 rounds. Solution: Ammo Box. Something like image below. Idea is, its a secondary inventory, like looting, that can be opened from within your own inventory, or deployed. While within your own inventory, its contents can not be pulled to reload guns, and pulling from it requires the same R-Click and wait a moment to move back into main inventory. It would have 4 slots and can only hold Ammunition As a deployable, it is placed down, its about the size of a small crate, but cut down by 1/3 on its largest dimension. Anyone can come up and take ammo from it. Something like this would be really lovely in an organized raid scenario, or in just ferrying loot back and forth. Sometime I want to loot the 6 stacks of various ammo types over the course of a PvP on a full server. Doesn't mean I need it all available in my pocket. Having to find a corner somewhere and stow stuff in an extra box makes sense. Bonus Idea, if this seems too OP, perhaps it could be given a limit like it can't be in the main inventory, it is something you wear on a hip slot, and it dangles from your side. It could even be given extra sounds to indicate your carrying a giant metal box on your hip. Medi Satchel: Same deal, and I am aware that for balance reasons, its obnoxius stacking together medical syringes. Having an item you carry on your person, like a mail carrier bag that equips on the hip/chest slot, would be great. I should be able to carry more than 6 bandages without starting to feel like its cluttering me up in early game looting forrays. A QOL item like this would be nice. Means I can keep rolling in a fight, taking loot and maintaining meds without sacrificing exactly how many unique items components I can pick up off the corpses Alteration to Large Med Kit: Alternative to Satchel idea, perhaps the LMK that no one uses ever as of right now can be changed from a consumable to a Deployable/Tool with durability. You use it, and every .5 seconds while using it it restores and amount of health and reduces bleeding by an amount. Whenever it restores health or minimizes and effect like bleeding or poison, some durability is consumed. It would be overall more efficient in resources, not waste on overheal, but perhaps not heal quite as quickly. A series of tradeoffs that make it better, even if not explictly the best option all the time. Also, if it were a deployable, it could be something that is placed down, and players can come up to it, healing themselves in the same way done while holding and using it. Definitely would be a neat option to add something of a "Medic" to larger organized team activities. https://www.cleanammocans.com/assets/images/m2a1-50cal-ammo-can-556.jpg https://a.1stdibscdn.com/archivesE/upload/12802/34_15/2864852/2864852_l.jpeg
