The film is written and directed by Tony Giglio (S.W.A.T.: UNDER SIEGE) and it stars Amy Manson (ATLANTIS), Dominic Mafham (OPHELIA), Luke Allen-Gale (DOMINION), and Nina Bergman (THE CAR: ROAD TO REVENGE). Jeffery Beach (JARHEAD 3: THE SIEGE), Phillip Roth (DEATH RACE: BEYOND ANARCHY) and Ogden Gavanski (CULT OF CHUCKY) produced and Lorenzo Di Bonaventura (TRANSFORMERS) and John Wells (ANIMAL KINGDOM) are the movie's executive producers. Universal 1440 Entertainment is currently planning to unleash the new DOOM movie in Fall 2019.

Seems like super generic action movie number welostcountokay. If it was literally just doomguy murdering demons as brutally as possible for 1 and 1/2 hours I'd be happy but noooo gotta have a plot. Then again if it was an army of darkness scifi ripoff I'd totally be in on it but between you and me we both know that won't happen.

Kind of weird that they're going for a very Doom 3 sort of look, when Doom 4 (fuck you that's what it's called) is easily a hundred times bigger in the cultural zeitgeist, and is getting its own sequel hopefully the same year? What idiot made that decision? It's not like a nu-Doom movie would require a massive budget - it's practically B-movie already, stupid amounts of violence and blood, and a threadbare plot. Just roll with it. Big fucking guns, rip and tear, shoot the cyberdemon until it dies. And if you have any money left after that, maybe do a first-person bit again? That was like the only cool bit in the Doom movie.

I honestly dont mind the aesthetic of how the screencaps look but when I look at the guns and makeup work its kind of awful. TBH The old doom movie is better, we are just in a awful era of shitty remakes and its just stupid gimmick $$$$

The should get the folks who made Mad Max Fury Road and Dredd to make the movie. DOOM is one of those concepts where it's style IS it's substance.

Is is too hard to just take John Wick, replace the main character with Doomguy and the setting with Mars/Phobos/Deimos/Hell? If there's a game that doesn't need a big plot, even in movie form, it's Doom. Doom should be more about cool action sequences and great environment/monster designs.

This has legit been in the works since like 2015 (and I mean actual set pics and shit, not just "We'll make it!") and the fact it's only now coming out that it'll release this year should tell you how fucked up this movie is going to be.

So all the actors are shit, and if I'm guessing right, those pics of the people suppose to be the Marines...what the hell. Did any of these people play Doom? If not then why are they doing this? That should be the rule of game movies. If you're going to make a movie based on a game you should be forced to play said game until you get the story. Doom is not a hard story to grasp. Idea. Instead of setting up a DOOM movie like a generic action/horror film with generic beats, why not treat it like a John Wick film? Have your bits of story and plot in there to drive the action and set up the background, but then go absolutely mental with the action. Like John Wick, except with Doomslayer killing demons instead of John Wick killing dudes.

Didn't someone say this is just Universal filling a quota so they can hold onto the rights or something?

Amy Manson is apparently in a lead role, and the last thing I saw her in was Being Human and she was honestly one of the worst actors in that series.

This ad probably had fifteen times the budget the movie will.
