https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/fact-check-did-ocasio-cortez-her-team-break-campaign-finance-n980121 Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's congressional campaign has "come under scrutiny" in recent days for what a conservative group has alleged is a massive violation of campaign finance law.
She really has them running scared, doesn't she?

I really don't understand this sentence at the start of the article: The complaint comes after a number of conservative-leaning outlets said Ocasio-Cortez broke campaign finance laws when she hired her boyfriend for marketing work. The rest of the article makes no mention of her boyfriend or how it relates to the complaint. The entire article discusses the complaint about PAC money being put into an LLC for her campaign and legal issues regarding that. The hell does hiring her boyfriend have to do with it?
All we DO know is they don't care about the 250 red flags surrounding Trump and the campaign finance violations he made. But a Democrat? SCRAMBLE THE FIGHTERS
I don't get it, what is it about AOC that the republicans have such a huge hate boner for?
The further left someone is, the more hate they have. And they probably fear someone who managed to kick out moderate Democrats from the race, a type of person that normally compromises with GOP policies. Ocasio-Cortez so far has given no quarter to the Republicans.
Also she's a slightly brown woman which no doubt enrages them greatly.

She's actually politically left, is actually gaining popularity in the country, and is trying to change the right-leaning status quo, as well as stop the right shift in politics we've been getting lately. You know how Trump entering the political field ended up changing political climate among the population, bringing about a lot more embolden hard-right folks? AOC is that, but for left-leaning people, who're tired of all the bullshit.
It's likely an attempt to make people go "LOOK SHE'S NOT MARRIED WHAT A SLUT"
That's easy. She's a woman with political power, she's brown, and aligns with democratic socialists. That's like 90% of the things that the GOP openly or secretly hates.
Honestly never heard any politician make remarks over this yet. And honestly, with the GOP constantly having 7+ ex wives each, they haven't much of a moral argument to make.
Well geez, if you deducted every immoral thing a member of the GOP been caught doing, they wouldn't be able to make a moral argument about anything!
Prove it.
And then you play right into their game. Republicans would gladly take you up on your offer. Come next election, Republicans will blast her for being investigated for campaign fraud. It doesn't matter if they find anything, being investigated is guilty enough. In fact, this is already happening.
An investigation would clear rational minds, but rational minds are the minority. To the majority, an investigation equals guilt. And if they're found clean, it's because they paid off the investigators.
Unless the person being investigated is Donald Trump, in which case they'll act like the investigation is a witch hunt lmao
Or Republican
Only if it's the opposition being investigated.
I like this lady. She’s ruffling feathers by just doing her job competently.
she's a massive threat to their culture war campaign. The alt-right/"""intellectual dark web""" (heugh) allowed them to brand extreme right wing policy as rebellious and cool, AOC does that for progressive policy and that rightfully scares them. Although they correctly sensed the political danger, they reacted in about the worst way they could have and are making themselves look even more out of touch with their frantic attempts to make her go away.
Because people are just focusing on the fact that conservatives are currently making a fuss, and completely disregarding the possibility that she may have actually done something seriously wrong because of that: AOC FEC Complaint as Filed
I'm seeing allegations. Allegations are not conclusions. Time will tell if there are meat on these bones or if it's just another manufactured controversy to try and defeat a politician outside of an election.
Republicans have shown themselves time and time again to manufacture controversies for the purpose of dragging someone's name in the mud. Look at their 7 Benghazi investigations, which found nothing each and every time. They are literally the boy who cried wolf.
The hate boner comes in part from an actual boner. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/219126/aad87e86-56e4-442b-a97a-96bb026235bc/A56120D2-C315-41E5-90A5-3FBF14FDBAA8.png
Alt-right needs to stop being the new punk. That's the big problem here. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/198768/be65ace4-0e83-43ed-8550-ab373245c670/image.png

I think that's already kind of done to be honest. Their president got in office, whether they like it or not they are now the status quo, and a lot of their internet edgelordery doesn't hold up when they have something at stake. You can't position yourself as the invincible snowflake triggerer while getting super offended every time your guy gets criticized. I can't really think of a way for them to waive off the embarrassment of the Trump administration without looking weak, and the SJW bogeyman is losing legitimacy in the face of the rising progressive movement. That's on top of the fact that people like Ben Shapiro have become a total meme. The best way they could've handled the situation is by continuing to force the left to play defense on how "emotional" their policies are, but even if someone new came along that pushed that angle, I don't think they'd be able to do much more than maintain their core base. The centrists need an emotional reason to deny reality that the right can no longer supply.
