Hey. Since the latest update I am experiencing unreasonable RAM usage and the game stutters as hell, the game crashed 3 times before I even could load up the server after 20 minutes. My PC and OS did not change at all. The game used 3-5 gigs of ram before the update, now it is using 6,5 gb out of 8. Please do something about this.
Rust's minimum hardware specs call for 8GB RAM and 16 is recommended.
I'm sure that the patch has included some issues that are bloating RAM a bit, but at the same time progress marches on and 8GB just isn't what it used to be. The devs may be able to solve the increased usage in this patch, but you should look at upgrading your computer if you can on the longer term, because even if the devs get Rust running the way it was before this latest patch, more patches are just going to keep adding things and making the RAM demands higher.
I just finished explaining this on the steam forums.
It is only an issue if your "swap" file is non zero ,which might account for the crashes, you want your apps to use a lot of ram for storage.
But you don't mention WHAT OS you are using...... if it is win10, then 8GB is really not enough for win10 & RUST
