Some Friends of mine and me are trying to play ttt. One of them is hosting a Game (peer to peer Friends only). All my friends can joint the secession, but i cant. If i right-click on my friend who is hosting i dont get the option to join. If i try to join via his steam profile steam tells me that the server isn't responding. Then if i try to join via the console and his IP the game says "Connection failed after 6 retries."
We also tested this with peer to peer (friends only disabled), but it still doesn't work.
Does someony know this problem/ has a fix?
peer to peer with friends only disabled isnt even a thing...that would mean peer to peer but everyone on the world can join/see you in the list. Like having a public server. Thats not what gmods peer to peer does
yooo wait thats new. Okay nevermind, i missed that. Last time i saw the menu for that peer to peer it alone was a thing. I dont know that list
*bump*
I realy need help with this
still having the problem?
of all, is gmod allowed in the firewall?
have you tried reinstalling it?
what if YOU make a peer to peer server? can people join you?
1. Yes it is
2. Already tried that, also tried to unsubscribe all my addons
3. They couldn't join. After they tried to they had to restart their game because they couldn't join my friend again. Dont know why.
Please make sure in your services on windows that you have SSDP discovery set to automatic and make sure it is running and UPNP set to automatic startup and is also running. then restart your game and try again. This needs to be on both systems. This is usually disabled by default on windows for safety reasons but most games need this enabled to work for P2P servers.
Also make sure that your router has UPNP enabled if you have access. This is usually enabled by default.
If the issue stil occurs you and your friends could try the following:
Port forward the server
Use hamachi
Rent a server with 10 slots or something
These are some reasonable options you couls try if peer to peer aint working
